The first thing we want to do this week is make an congratulation and welcome announcement…

This picture is of our brother Josh, who has already been such great help to S2S, even during his employment as an ag trainer representing a mining company in the Solwezi area.

It looks like the celebration may have gotten out of control! Hope Josh is ok!!
Because…
Josh retired so that he could put the farming skills he has been training – together with the advanced skill Tracy brought to Zambia this growing season – to use as a farmer, taking over a family farm for his retiring father.
When he did that, we decided as an organization that we didn’t want to take him away from his dream to be a farmer, but we did want to both reward him for all that he has already done on our behalf AND retain his services moving forward, so we now employ Josh on a part time basis to be our primary hands and feet in the north – in Solwezi and with our first steps into neighboring Copperbelt region with this harvest. Josh has always been one of us at heart. Now we are so excited that he is OFFICIALLY one of us. Congrats on the great career you are leaving behind, and welcome to S2S in an official, part-time capacity, brother Josh!!
Hopefully all our church communities have done their May feeding by now, and are ready for the craziness that will come in June as we push forward with the harvest activities in Chipata, Petauke, Chongwe, Livingstone, Lusaka and some other communities outside one of our major hubs. June looks to be a spectacular month for the work in Zambia! Stay tuned!!
